Marisa & Aaron | Hillside Fairytale | Waupaca, WI
We can't believe 2020 is finally coming to an end and what a way to end it. We've been waiting so long for this wedding and we are sure that Marisa and Aaron have been waiting even longer. With COVID and all the ever changing ordeals that come with it, all weddings this year has been thrown into a bit of disarray. What had started out as a fairly large guest list at Butte des Morts Country Club was cut down to less than 30 people in the backyard of Aaron's amazing childhood home. Just like with marriage there will be tough times and it is through those tough times that you can come out stronger and even more in love. These two are just the most adorable souls ever. Marisa is so sweet and Aaron is just such a nice guy. He really is. We feel so blessed that we were able to witness the intimate joining of these two families that have known each other for ages. They were also so kind and welcomed us warmly. It felt like coming home for the holidays. Aaron's family home really turned out to be the perfect spot for their vows. It was breathtaking no matter where you looked. His parents have done such an amazing job building their dreamy home set on top a hill overlooking fields and trees. Their backyard was perfectly landscaped for moments just like this. Floral decorations were set about as well, all done by their family, and blended right into the gorgeous scenery. Hot coffee and cider were served to everyone, as well as outdoor heaters to make this event even more cozy on that chilly December day. The beautiful decorations were outshined by Marisa and Aaron as they made their way to the arch in front of everyone. Marisa looked like a fairytale princess in her beautiful beaded dress and Aaron looked sharp and dapper in his sleek suit as he gazed upon Marisa for the very first time. His smile never left his face the entire day.
After the ceremony we absolutely had to make use of the amazing backdrops for their bridal portraits. Everywhere you looked was a perfect photo waiting to be taken and we took as many as we could. Aaron's dad turned on the lights for us as the sun dipped down and transformed the backyard into a glowing fairytale scene. We also went inside for them to warm up and took some of the most intimate and loving photos of them playing piano together. And yes, they both really do know how to play piano, they aren't just pretending for photos. The sheet music is actually one that Marisa had unknowingly borrowed from Aaron for years. So sweet!! Finally, we headed off to Par4 Resort for a nice quiet reception. If you remember, we were just there a few months ago! Food, drinks, a sweet slideshow, and speeches filled the nighttime. The night flew by with everyone eating, talking, and laughing and we snuck them out for one last night shot outside. I was cold, Chee La was cold. Marisa and Aaron were cold but boy was it worth it! Those last shots were actually are some of my favorite photos from the entire day and it was really a great end to the night. We wish Marisa and Aaron the best as they move into 2021 together as husband and wife.
